Magnesium has a vital importance in human health and disease, but not many know and understand the effects it has on your health!
A new research published in the journal BMC Bioinformatics shows that magnesium’s role is far vaster than previous thought. Magnesium is found in over 300 enzymes in the human body utilising or synthesising ATP, this study found that there was 3751 magnesium binding sites detected on human proteins, having a wider effect than we previous thought. This “magneseome” can epigenetically alter the expression or behaviour of our proteins in our body, altering your health.
