About Sheen Road Chiropractic

What to expect

Initial Consultation
Once you enter our centre you will be able to sit in the warm friendly environment and feel at ease and welcomed.  Our staff here will make sure your visit is a pleasant one.
You be asked to fill out an extensive history form so that we can get a comprehensive health profile, you will then be introduced to your chiropractor who will take down information about your health and you will be asked several questions.  Your chiropractor will take the time to get a complete picture of your current situation, your history and what we can do to help you.

An examination will be performed and several chiropractic analysis will be looked at such as your posture, movement, some orthopaedic tests and some neurological tests, these tests assess spinal stress, muscle tension, nerve activity and postural changes.  They show us where the disturbances in your spine and nervous system are and how to best care for you so that you get the results that you desire.
If indicated digital x-rays are performed on the premises these will be done straight after the examination.  We use state of the art technology to accurately assess you. Full Spinal digital x-rays determine the condition and position of your spine, stress areas, and the likely progression of your spine with time.
Having performed all of the required tests we will compile the results of your case and develop a working strategy for your care.

Report Visit
The report visit is your time to gain a thorough understanding of what is happening in your body and how we can achieve your outcomes.  Informed consent is needed and this is achieved in two parts, the first is the pre care appointment in which we will explain where we fit in to the health care system and what you can expect.  The second half is your personalised report where we will go over the results of the examination and x-rays to explain what we found, how we are going to help you achieve your goals and a plan for your outcomes.  Of course, any questions or concerns that you have will be answered.  Care will begin at this point.

Your Regular Visit
Our community focussed reception area is an enjoyable place to relax before your appointment. There is plenty of current reading material and toys for the children.

Your regular visits usually only take 5-10 minutes. Sometimes an extended visit is required that may take an additional 10-20 minutes.

Progressive Exams
A progressive examination is done regularly to ensure the progress of your outcomes.  The examination is the same as the first one so that we can compare the results and keep you on track.  When your outcomes are met you will be given the chance to cease care and we will close your case file or you may opt for a different level of care.
Our goal is to give you a great service in a comfortable and relaxing environment for you to achieve your outcomes.
