Angela Di Benedetto
Angela Di Benedetto has always been passionate about health, fitness and wellbeing and in 1999 she made the important decision to leave her “office job” and embark on a new career, studying for a Diploma in Sports Therapy at the well renowned Raworth International College. (The college sadly no longer exists, another victim of the present financial situation!). Since qualifying she worked as a Gym Instructor for 3 years, doing some Personal Training, and with a semi-professional football team for 10 years. All throughout this time she has also been working in her private practice and for the last 5 years has been providing Sports Massage to an elite Sports team, working with professional and Olympic athletes. Angela continuously furthers her knowledge through a variety of CPD courses, and has added various other qualifications to her portfolio such as Nordic Walking Instructor, Dorn Method and Breuss Massage Therapist, Neuromuscular Rehabilitator. Angela has over the years come across and treated a wide variety of injuries and complaints from patients of all ages and all levels of fitness!
Angela is currently also studying for a BSc in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at the Northern College of Acupuncture, in York. Her view of a balanced life led her 18 years ago to take up the practice and study of Qi Gong and Taiji, and studied on a one-to-one basis with her tutor for 10 years. She currently teaches in Windsor.
Angela’s passions are running, having run a few marathons, cooking and eating good food (healthy most of the time but also good-quality unhealthy food!), reading, walking, Qi Gong and Taiji.
From the Tao Te Ching, by Lao Zu:
“Not-knowing is true knowledge.
Presuming to know is a disease.
First realise that you are sick;
Then you can move toward health.”
